Despite being recognized for her charismatic personality and impressive intellect in school, high schooler Kyouko Hori is concealing a different aspect of her life. With her parents frequently away because of their jobs, Hori takes on the responsibility of caring for her younger brother and managing the household, leaving her with no time for leisurely social interaction. In contrast, Izumi Miyamura is perceived as an introverted, glasses-donning nerd. But contrary to this image, he is a gentle soul who struggles with his studies. Behind his long hair, he hides nine ear piercings, and a back and left shoulder tattoo is another secret he carries. Unexpectedly, Hori and Miyamura's worlds intersect outside school, both appearing different from their perceived images at school. These two who are seemingly worlds apart become friends and exhibit sides of themselves they've kept hidden from everyone else.
