During a football game, a cameraman gets knocked down. His brother-in-law, a notorious lawyer known for profiting from personal injury cases, initiates a lawsuit while the cameraman is still unconscious. Initially, the cameraman is against the idea. However, he changes his mind when he learns that his ex-wife will come to visit him. He fakes injury in hopes of winning her back, but he also notices the emotional toll his supposed injury is taking on the football player who accidentally hurt him.
