Review movie The Captain

A young man, alongside his cousin, resolves to journey from Dakar in Senegal to Europe in a modern-day version of the Odyssey. The protagonist must face numerous challenges, going through experiences that convert him from a person into a commodity and then an animal, ultimately emerging as a hero. It's a sweeping journey fraught with danger, both from the desert and sea, and the inconsistencies inherent in people. Their dreams, hopes, and ambitions are twisted into a struggle for survival where compassion has no room.
