Review movie François Truffaut: My Life, a Screenplay
In the twilight of his life, while seriously sick, François Truffaut found solace with his former wife, Madeleine Morgenstern. She made efforts to engage him throughout his prolonged suffering. The filmmaker shared his intentions to write his autobiography with his friend, Claude de Givray, but being too frail, he had to let go of the project. The film uncovers some aspects of this climactic narrative.
